The Devī Argalā Stotram is a short and powerful hymn that is chanted as part of Devī Mahātmyam and contains the essential teachings and energy of the full text.
Here, the second and third verses of this hymn are rendered in beautiful classical rāga. As you listen, visualize the Mother, and let the sounds convey her love for you, and your love for her.

Salutations to the victorious one, the auspicious one, Kālī, the one who is beyond time, the one who wears a garland of skulls, Durgā, the impassable one, divine mercy, blessed one, mother earth; you are the one who [ultimately] receives yajña offerings, and offerings to the ancestors.
Salutations to you, destroyer of the demons Madhu & Kaiṭabha, and the one who blessed the Creator [himself]. Grant us your form, grant us victory, grant us success, destroy all hostility.
Oṃ Salutations to the Holy Mother.
